My YWDP experience and what I've learnt:

✋Hi, I'm Akina and I participated in the Young Women Development Programme😄

Where I've learned so much, all thanks to GIZ and UNAM; all from introductions to STEM subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Engineering, Math and many more. 💬

UNAM lecturers, Ms. Victoria Hasheela-Mufeti & Ms. Maria Ndapewa Ntinda, both taught me and over 20 other young women about Entrepreneurship, Computer Sciences, Digital Marketing, Coding, Programming, and an example of what they taught us - Blogging, as I am doing right now. (You be the judge of whether I paid enough attention in class or not)😁

Throughout these very long, and I mean very long, but fun, amazing and insightful classes we were also taught how to use all these skills we have learnt practically in life. We have gotten an abundance of websites, platforms and Microsoft Documents we never even knew about, and were trained so well to use them in the future for our own personal and/or future business needs.📂

Other than the "curriculum" work we were taught; we learned how to work together as a team. Learnt so much from each other too - our backgrounds, ages, where we live and what issues we face and overcome. We became a group of friends.👭

This experience was very eventful and especially educational. It was an honor to be accepted into this programme.

I'm grateful to both UNAM and GIZ for collaborating & making this experience possible for us. Appreciating all the efforts, resources and time spent on us.🙏

The goal of this programme has been achieved - so many young women feel empowered with the knowledge they have now. I especially have gained more confidence and cannot wait to spread this knowledge I've received in other practical ways such as helping my fellow peers set up their own CVs/resumes and help them use their talents and resources to become young entrepreneurs and start up even the smallest business that could make a very big difference in their life and our economy.💪

Dear UNAM & GIZ, this step of yours for young women nationwide, will have a leap of ripple effects in success over time.🙌
